Kazakhstan mobile network MDA Space Lands Repeat Airbus Deal to Boost OneWeb Expansion MDA Space has secured a major repeat contract from Airbus to supply more than 1,300 antennas for the expansion of the OneWeb low Earth orbit satellite constellation, now operated by Eutelsat. The order includes over 880 advanced Ka-band electronically steerable antennas and around 440 Ku-band antennas for in-orbit replacements. This builds on a previous contract involving nearly 2,000 antennas, underscoring Airbus’ continued confidence in MDA’s technology and production capabilities. Manufacturing will take place in Montréal, with antennas integrated into Airbus-built satellites. The deal supports OneWeb’s next phase of growth, aimed at strengthening global broadband coverage through an expanded satellite network. LG Innotek Lands $68 mn Deal to Power Next-Gen Connected Cars with Wi-Fi 7 LG Innotek has secured a $68 million contract to supply its advanced automotive Wi-Fi 7 communication modules to a major European automotive parts company, with mass production set for 2027. The module delivers speeds up to three times faster than previous generations, supported by 320MHz bandwidth and 4K-QAM technology for enhanced data capacity. Designed for in-vehicle infotainment systems, it ensures seamless connectivity for multiple devices without lag. Compact yet robust, the module withstands extreme temperatures and integrates over 150 components, including Qualcomm chips. As vehicles evolve into “second living spaces,” LG Innotek aims to strengthen its position in the rapidly growing automotive connectivity market. Verizon Powers AI-Driven Remote Production for FOX’s “Extracted” Season 2 Verizon has enabled a major leap in remote media production through its collaboration with FOX Entertainment for Season 2 of “Extracted.” Deploying a portable private 5G network across four square miles of Canadian wilderness, Verizon connected 25 video feeds and 20 communication devices in real time.
