Apple marketing executive Stan Ng, who oversaw the Apple Watch, AirPods, health and smart home initiatives, announced his retirement on LinkedIn, which marked the departure of another key figure. Ng shared the news on LinkedIn yesterday (16 April) by posting: “After 31 years at Apple, today was my last day”. “It was a joy to work at Apple and I truly loved what I did,” he stated. “A big thank you to everyone I worked with, both inside and outside Apple!” Apple senior design executive Alan Dye left the company near the end of last year to join Meta Platforms. Long-time CFO Luca Maestri and COO Jeff Williams also exited the company in 2025. According to his LinkedIn bio, Ng joined Apple in 1995 as a senior systems engineer, before Steve Jobs returned to the run the company two years later. He moved into product roles for the Mac prior to becoming one of the key marketing executives behind the launch of the original iPod. Ng, VP of product for Apple Watch, AirPods, health and home, went on to oversee marketing for the iPhone and Apple Watch before home initiatives marketing was added to his remit in 2021.
