Fixed Wireless Access equipment vendor Cambridge Broadband Networks Group (CBNG) opened its first facility in the US, a site providing logistics and engineering support to aid in serving its customers in the country. Describing the move as a pivotal milestone for the vendor, it noted it represented a transition from serving the country remotely to an on-the ground operation supporting the “rapid growth of FWA”. The UK-based company provides 3GPP-standard compliant 5G equipment promoted as offering fibre-like performance and designed for use with mmWave frequencies.   Its first US site is in Richardson, Texas and will act as a distribution, configuration and technical support centre with around half of the facility dedicated to warehousing and logistics. It will also house an engineering lab and provide customer support. CBNG expects being on the ground in the US to improve delivery times, strengthen quality control and provide the means for faster collaboration with customers. The company’s CEO Nedko Ivanov hailed the move as a “major milestone for CBNG and reflects our long-term commitment to the US market”. “Expanding into the US is a significant step in our growth, allowing us to support customers more closely, accelerate delivery and provide hands-on technical expertise and training.”    The post UK FWA specialist expands to US appeared first on Mobile World Live .
