AI inference specialist Rebellions, Arm and SK Telecom (SKT) are to collaborate on developing infrastructure to meet demand from sovereign AI projects and data centres serving the telecoms sector. Rebellions explained the trio plan to create an AI server combining Arm’s AGI CPU with its AI chips. The intention is to then validate it in SKT’s data centre infrastructure. It added the pact brings together “industry leaders from each AI infrastructure field” to address “surging demand in the inference market and set standards for high-performance, energy-efficient sovereign AI infrastructure”. The trio will collaborate across the whole chain from design to deployment and validation. Alongside hardware integration, the partners intend to co-develop the related software stack including firmware and test the system using SK Telecom’s proprietary A.X K1 model. After technical validation the trio intend to “explore broader commercial deployment opportunities” with Rebellions pointing to the opportunity to supply products for the global sovereign AI data centre market and “secure a strong presence, particularly in Asia”. Target customers include telecoms companies and public sector organisations requiring independent AI infrastructure. SK Telecom head of AI business development Jaeshin Lee said “by providing a full package that combines inference-optimised infrastructure with our proprietary foundation model, A.X K1, we will further strengthen our competitiveness in the AI data centre market”. Arm Cloud AI business unit VP of go-to-market Eddie Ramirez added: “Together with Rebellions and SK Telecom, we’re enabling scalable infrastructure for sovereign AI and telecommunications markets.” The post Arm, SKT, Rebellions target sovereign AI market appeared first on Mobile World Live .
