IPv4 vs IPv6

This page labels your primary address as IPv4 because most networks still exit to the public internet on IPv4. If you use Detect IPv6, we call api64.ipify.org from your browser: you may see a real IPv6 address, or a message that only IPv4 was detected. Lookup supports both IPv4 and IPv6 via our server (ip-api.com).
